Is this his answer to EVERYTHING?
"NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- President Bush, saying he was unaware of predictions of $4-a-gallon gasoline in the coming months, told reporters Thursday that the best way to help Americans fend off high prices is for Congress to make his first-term tax cuts permanent."

"If you're out there wondering... what your life is going to be like, and you're looking at $4 a gallon, that's uncertain," Bush responded to a question posed at a White House news conference. "And when you couple that with the idea that... taxes may be going up in a couple years, that's double uncertainty."

$4 a gallon gas NOW.
My taxes going up - what? $300/year? $600/year? - in a "couple years"?
Hmmm... What is the bigger concern?

I'm spending hundreds of dollars a month on gasoline now.
I'd prefer to have affordable gas, and then pay taxes that go to services, not to oil company pockets.
But maybe that's just me?

Here's the story:

3. What does the ultra-rich paying less taxes have to do with us paying $4/gallon?

4. If it involves the economy that is pretty
much his only answer. They have obviously worked so well already and are only causing problems now because the rich are uncertain of future tax cuts.

Mean while out of the other side of his ass he states how important it is for Congress to approve his next big bill for Iraq.

The scariest part is there are still people out there that do not see how delusional he is. :banghead:

6. I need some clarification.
Aren't the tax cuts Bush is referring to the very tax cuts for the super wealthy that most of the Dems want to do away with? I forget the amount of money that would flow back into the government without that tax cut, but it was a whopping amount.

Did I get a tax cut? If I did, I didn't notice much of anything...

Thanks.

9. What is wrong with you and why won't you willingly and happily
take your 600 dollar bribe to fully compensate you for your 20,000 debt for the neocon's bogus war?

10. Guess he doesn't listen to the Budget Office either. Cost of keeping tax cuts - $3.6 trillion !!
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 03:05 PM by sinkingfeeling
Making permanent the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and AMT relief would have a direct cost of $3.6 trillion over the next ten years (fiscal year 2009 through 2018), according to Joint Committee on Taxation and Congressional Budget Office estimates.

Yeah, it'll sure be better to push that cost out to our children and their children.

13. He's the Decider, not the Knower. Quit bothering him with questions!

You misunderstandify your relationship with him. He Decides what happens to you and you Know what it is. He doesnt have to Know. Thats for Knowers!

Anyway, what about him and his problems? Hm? Never think about that, do you?
