Bad News For Soldiers in Iraq
It seems that the supposed truce between former insurgents and American troops is near the breaking point. In today's edition of the Washington Post a number of former insurgents have stated they are considering going be to the insurgency. Some of the former insurgents are angry for various reasons that included the failure of the American and Iraqi government to force a Police Chief to resign, insurgents and their family members being harshly questioned by American soldiers due to suspicion that Al Queda in Iraq has spies in the force, and failure of the American and Iraqi governments to formally recognize the groups. The former insurgents are claiming that they will go back to fighting against American soldiers. In another story Congress is questioning the Pentagon on why it has taken so long to get better equipment to the soldiers in Iraq. Links have been provided at the bottom of the page.
