The Smear Job - Round Five - Right Wing Bloggers...

I can't cut this down to the minimum 4 paragraphs so I'm just posting the link. I don't want to piss off a very busy writer or the very stressed mods who are busy herding cats in GDP. :)

1. Lala strikes a blow for liberty!!

Forget even loyalty to party over country. It is worse than that even. These people will sink their own party to prove their loyalty to Karl Rove. Now that is truly un-American.

4. Ok, ok, ok. One paragraph:
Here is the thing, Mr. Hubbard wants to run for Alabama governor and has been promised support from the current - scandal ridden governor - Bob Riley that he would have his backing. Mr. Hubbard is earning his meal-ticket, as they say.

5. You twisted my arm.
I have one question for these fine, mental-all stars: Did Karl Rove testify under oath the way Ms. Simpson did? Ah, I see... crickets.

 Go get 'em lala_rawraw!

7. "Beyond that...
the right-wing blogs - as though on cue, have all suddenly awakened to the current crisis in the south and are all at once issuing the same, cookie-cutter, talking points. In fact, what is amazing is that not a single one of them appears to have seen the show or even know what the allegations are. It is as though they are using the same script. Case in point, they all point to allegations that Dana Jill Simpson is lying, use the same argument that Mike Hubbard has been spinning to earn his brownie points from the "party," and completely ignore the other allegations made in the 60 Minutes broadcast."

20. I posted last Friday that this would be their tactic.
How the RW bloggers and talking heads continue to fail to understand that the more controversy they generate over Siegelman (or Sibel, or FISA, or Iraq) the more people are going to pay attention is beyond me. But hey, the more attention it gets, the better. As far as I'm concerned, there aren't nearly enough of them on the rooftops screaming in defense of the malAdministration's illegal policies and activities.

"There is no bad publicity" applies especially well in cases where bad people would be better served by leaving controversial issues alone and keeping the ignorant masses blissfully uninformed. If the MSM and Republicon machine are truly so stupid that they insist on "catapulting the propaganda" to their own detriment, so be it. However, I can't help but feel guilty laughing at their obvious mental handicap and disconnect from reality.

13. Mike Hubbard pushed a law through the Alabama Legislature that makes him millions.
It basically gave him control of the Auburn University athletic broadcasts without any competitive bidding. He is paying Auburn several million dollars below the going rate for other SEC schools.

19. That's exactly what the doc to my mom to give us
when we were sick in the middle of the night to help us make it until he could see us in the morning. After that, she kept a cup mixed in the fridge of honey, whiskey, and lemon juice for when we were coughing.

21. The whiskey dulls the pain
the lemon breaks up the mucous and the honey sooths the throat. and even if you're not sick, they still make you feel better.
