Will our FRiends hold Drudge responsible...
...for giving "aid and comfort to the enemy" by revealing Prince Harry's presence in Afghanistan, in effect wasting all the money our ally spent to train him, as well as his extra security costs?

2. The story was originally reported
in Australia on January 7th - but nobody paid much attention.

As much as honor and decency should've prevented Drudge from reporting it, I hate the idea of charging the press for reporting the truth (and your "aid and comfort" line is from the constitutional definition of treason - a crime).

Similarly, I objected to all the calls to prosecute Bob Novak for reporting on Valerie Plame. It was a douchey thing to do, but it's not against the law, nor should it be. The press is not responsible for keeping government secrets - the government is.

4. Those limey faggots are COWARDS for hiding his location in the first place.
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 07:58 AM by baby_mouse
American Marines don't get their locations kept secret but face the bombs like MEN, with GPS chips sewn into their ball-sacks so the towel-heads know where to fucking aim. The bombs then bounce off and the Marines eat them. Those Brits need to to figger out who the man is and quite their whinin' like little girls.

On Edit:

:sarcasm:

better now?

Fecking sarcasm tags. I HATE them. How much more extreme and stupid do I have to make it?

No, actually, my bad. These days one could EASILY have 1000+ posts on this site and still think that sort of garbage...

11. One of the most bigoted posts I've ever read on DU

15. Your "sense" of humor is appalling
You added the sarcasm smiley after the outrage.

There is no excuse for that kind of hatred here.

And yes, I'll bid you adieu too.

16. It's always wise
to have a sarcasm tag or some other smiley as the punchline.

21. For what it's worth, and just in my opinion,
your humor was both obvious and funny - especially considering that this thread is specifically about freeper-type thinking and responses. It seems to be a belief around here that, because the sarcasm tag exists, any post without the tag should be taken at 100% face value...

 (This tag indicates that I am expressing confusion at the difficulty some have in detecting humor/sarcasm.)

12. The PR Stunt Worked
Harry now goes back to Britain the "war hero". I already saw a report on CNN with all sorts of pictures of him in action...sure looked like it had been archived over the past couple weeks. It wasn't a matter of having Harry's mission revealed...it was when.

Personally I could care less about a pampered royal playing soldier compared to the "paupers" who put in the 15 month tours (many on second and third deployments) who can't get shipped out of this crap and could be stuck in this mess for a long time to come.

Drudge is never held responsible...IOKIYAR says it all...

17. Agreed.
Harry seems likeable enough but I don't share his enthusiasm for war.

If he really wants to be "normal" and treated like everyone else, there is a simple solution...renounce his royalty.

14. There is no responsibility. You think people should be held responsible to the british royal family
I don't think people here are going to care what money britain spent on him, you do know we are not responsible to them, right?
