That's just what the Metropolitan Airports Commission has spent dealing with this jerk's legal games. We can only speculate as to how much it's cost the courts.

Why is it that Republican assholes like Craig are the first to scream about government spending, but when it comes to trying to cover their own sorry asses, money is no object. I hope Craig's right-wing and NRA supporters are happy that he's spending THEIR campaign contributions to defend himself from his plea of guilty to charges of soliciting a blowjob from a male cop in a public airport restroom. Is this what all NRA board members do while they;re waiting for a plane?

1. I don't like your use of the world "perverted" in the title.

12. Do you think he'd use the word "perverted" if it were an appeal for a traffic violation?

13. I just find it funny that word was used instead of "hypocritical" or "wasteful"...
Or any other words that would be more accurate. As I posted above, do you think the adjective "perverted" would have been used if it were an appeal for a DUI?

3. ok
so people (ALL PEOPLE) shouldn't have the right to appeal in the criminal justice system because it costs money?

how democratic of you.

free counsel for indigent defendants cost money too.

let's get rid of that too!!!

:sarcasm:

5. Miss many points, do ya?
He is drawing attention to the hypocrisy. The same GOP losers who whine about government spending are more than willing to chew up court time and money trying to cover up their misdeeds.

HYPOCRISY.

6. i did see the point
but so what? i whine about govt. spending too.

just because some govt. spending is out of control, doesn't mean it's all bad.

much of it is good, or at least necessary.

did craig decry the expense of appeals for criminal cases?

i'm not aware of that.

i am well aware how much the court system costs, since i frequently get paid overtime to testify.

is it efficient? no. is it necessary? yes

7. Larry Craig should be happy he wasn't put in leg irons
dragged from the court, thrown into solitary confinement, transfered from prison to prison so that even his lawyers don't know where he is, while the judge comes up with bullshit excuses why there isn't a written record of the proceeding. But that would never happen in America, would it?
