Nightmare scenario: Dems win GE Election but results ruled invalid, shrub remains in office.
My prediction is that Obama wins the GE, but the Election is mess: errors, fraud and voter suppression reports in the thousands, courts rule that the election is invalid. The MSM goes orgasmic, ratings are through the roof.
Cases are ruled on and appealed and ruled on and appealed again. The nation is frozen, waiting for the final verdict. The Supreme Court has the final say... again.

What happens next?

1. It's likely to be ugly no matter what happens. I personally don't think Obama can beat McCain...
I am NOT a freeper, just a frightened and trying to be realistic liberal Democrat. (I don't really think Clinton can beat him with any degree of ease either)

Nothing will make me happier than to be wrong in November though.

4. I used to think the same
but this wave of change is real. Not that I believe Obama will bring real change, but the People are shifting. They really WANT change. For the moderate republicans he is change they can vote for. Much better chance than Hillary has. It's not her fault when it comes to republicans, they've been brainwashed against her. Half of Dems don't like her much either. I think over half of Dems will willingly vote for Obama in the GE, and the rest will just to make sure Dems win.
Add in the Moderate Repugs and the Indies we can win over, and I think we can do this. :)

2. The Supreme Court ruling would stand. Neither Clinton nor Obama would stand in open rebellion,
so whoever the SJC's decided won would take office.

5. Ok then, what if they decide for the Republicans?
I think there would be riots.

If they decide for the Dems, no riots but elections are forever more comprised. One time the people will let slide by, but twice in 10 years?

7. There were no riots in early 2001.
We will take it, and the MSM will make sure we learn to like it.

The Left puts much more energy into self-absorption and self-destruction than into political change.

9. I dunno about that...
In 2001 there were relatively few of us who were aware. I myself was just going to work, dealing with day to day shit and not really paying attention.
So many of us have woken up in the past 7 years... I hope it can be different this time.

after writing 60 more letters.

8. I didn't consider that option...
I prefer the version where the skip the fckin letters and just move on to impeachment. :)

Well, John and Jane Q. Public initally munch popcorn and watch .. but lose interest and flood local stations with complaints that 'American Idol' and 'Survivor' have been pre-empted.

We deserve the worst that happens. I've come to the conclusion that NOTHING will get us off our fat asses and into the streets with torches and pitchforks.

15. Lol, I know you're trying to be optimistic, but it's a simple math problem.
2/3 of the country never votes and couldn't give a shit less.

That leaves the half of the voters that lost, 1/6 of 200 million(~30 million).

That's 10 percent of the country, still a lot.

But that means that 90 per cent of the country is not going to lift a finger.

to live in a collective tropical island paradise, where each have their own shelter
that is powered by the water, sun and wind. The school we set up
is an institute for peace and collective consciousness that provides
growth for all humans and benevolent species for the benefit of this planet.

Is that better?

Edited for adding the word island

Which was the title of Aldous Huxley last book.
