The gop succeeded in getting * in the White House. Here's a man who by all indications is one of the most unqualified people to ever be President, certainly in modern times at the very least. No matter if you believe the last two presidential elections were on the up and up or not the gop did it. They shot the moon. After * everything is downhill. * makes Otis the town drunk on the Andy Griffith Show look like a Rhodes Scholar. Electing/Selecting anyone they choose, when they choose looks all the more likely at times. They may allow a Democrat in office to give the appearance of a two-party system.
McCain's getting the run he should've gotten in '00 before being undermined by the BFEE. The media can point to a new President and the dawning of a new era, telling us it's time for a change when in fact it'll be business as usual. I would honestly love to see that change being talked about. Would any of that be allowed to happen? I just don't know. Just my 2 cents.

2. If they "allow" a dem to win ti would not be to preserve the illusion
of a two party system. It would be because they know that cleaning up the stink left by bush is gonna take 20 years to clean up and the next president, no matter how capable, is not going to be able to make a big change in things in one or two terms. The entire system is so fucked up now trhat they are willing to see a Dem get elected and then get the blame for not completely removing the pile of shit left by this maladministration.

That's why I think there needs to be investigations, arrests and prosecutions.

4. Our nominee HAS
to lay it out in plain language -- using a fucking flow chart and visual aids! -- what we're up against, and give REALISTIC expectations of what s/he can hope to accomplish.

Otherwise you're right - we'll be blamed for it all.

As Alice Cooper said, Welcome to my nightmare.
