I recommend people watch, of all things, the 8mm movie "Fruit of the Vine". It is a documentary about a skateboarding style called "Pool Skating".
Where skaters look for, clean out and skate in empty swimming pools. In this movie there are some very keen observations by the filmmakers how this activity became possible.
I watched it again the other day (me being a pool skater from the 70's and still known to skate a bowl when the opportunity presents) it struck me that this wave of home foreclosures comes on the heels of the abandonment by the previous generation nad highlights a long term economic decline. That generation lost jobs and homes leaving the once prosperous middle class 50's and 60's urban neighborhoods in decay that are now seeing the next generation leave.
All in all I see long term economic failure in America and further divide of the "have nots" and the "have mores".
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0201625/I don't know if you will find in anyplace other than a skateshop...maybe a indy rental place might have one.
Either way a good mix of skating, music and commentary that has some valuable insight from the counter culture of skateboarding.
