They wouldn't really want to get into just who those "bad guys" truly were or what their connection were but that America is safer because they are gone..Some Democrats might feel this way as well maybe even our Presidential candidates. I get the distinct impression that They feel it is right to put together a "hit team" to "take out" some "bad guy" somewhere/anywhere in the world and it makes no difference what the Local Government of whichever country has to say about it. I would like to see Trials held and evidence presented. I find it extremely difficult to take the government's word on things. One huge "Legacy" of the Bush* Administration.

11. Tenet has never explained

who they truly were and how they got on Flight 77 in the first place. Two books by 'non conspiracy' authors (Joe Trento and Lawrence Wright) suggest by way of CIA sources that these two alleged hijackers were possibly GID (Saudi intelligence) agents. One reason this would make sense is because they evidently did not use fake identities. So either they had no regard for US intelligence or they had good reason to feel they were safe from arrest.

Two other key points:

1) CIA was aware of them because of a so called al Qaeda summit in Malaysia back in January 2000. The record is unclear but it is possible that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was in attendance.

2) In Philip Shenon's recent book he reveals that even Philip Zelikow did not believe Tenet was honest in private interviews with the commission.

The problem is that we have US officials who have not been honest about their own conduct in the lead up to 9/11. If the public cannot trust the intelligence agencies then it doesn't say much for the health of our representative democracy.

We're dealing with known passport forgers here, and the race to tell the public "who did it", combined with an unwillingness to back down from previously made statements, has somewhat muddied the water here. We don't really know for sure who was on that flight.
