New Book Exposes American Right's Alliance with Deranged Cult Leader
John Gorenfeld, the independent journalist who scooped the national press corps with his story on the bizarre Capitol Hill coronation ceremony of the cult leader in 2004, has a new book, Bad Moon Rising: How Reverend Moon Created the Washington Times, Seduced the Religious Right and Built an American Kingdom. Every American should read this book about how a demented megalomaniac has become one of Washington's biggest power players. Find it at your local bookstore or buy it at Amazon.com.

I also have a blog devoted to Moon: The Real Sun Myung Moon.

1. Moon's got tentacles into more governments than ours
His goal is a world wide religiously based fascism.

It will be interesting to watch what happens when the old bastard finally kicks the bucket. His followers consider him god. Gods don't get old, get sick, and die.

The squabbling over the empire by those left should fill a whole lot of tabloids.

8. God Bless Robert Parry... "Equally surprising..."
"Equally unsurprising, former President George H.W. Bush and his about-to-be-president son have never explained the family's financial involvement with Rev. Moon, a messianic leader who has vowed to build a movement powerful enough to eliminate all individuality and freedom in the United States."

And now the Paraguay land /water grab with various members of the BFEE
trotting around there for the last how many years?

This is all beyond bizarre.

I think Oliver Stone should make the movie.

6. WOW! What a blog-
Love that you added the Hillary endorsement of Moon pic there.
Heh-heh.
The Daily Show clips are great too.
I can't BELIEVE Americans did nothing when Congress members
crowned that lunatic as the Messiah!
WTF?

And the Bushites are going to be Moon's neighbors in Paraguay?
What in the hell is going on in this world????

over half this nation's fishing industry and many of the newsstudios around Washington DC, do they?

9. Thanks for Posting - I'm definitely going to get this one
I've been steamed for years that the Repukes get away with their alliance with this nutcase and the other whacko religious right leaders for so long. I'm glad McCain is getting called out somewhat over Hagee - though I doubt that wouldn't have happened if another religious whacko Bill Donauhue hadn't been so pissed.

Amazing - especially after Russert went after Obama so ardently for Farrakhan's endorsement which Obama didn't solicit. Yet here was McCain proudly accepting Hagee's endorsement, then trying to weasel out by saying he doesn't have to support everything his endorser says.

Yet we have these Repukes nearly worshipping at the altar of Sun Myung Moon - imagine the outrage there would've been if he had instead been a liberal whacko and the Dems had supported him and the Washington Post had been in his ownership instead of the Washington Times!

Next, go check out the thread, What is Neil Bush Doing in Paraguay? by KPete.

I am really starting to think we are all being
ruled by this evil cult in which the Bushistes are deeply
involved.
Sure would explain the misery we've had for the last
I don't know how many decades.

19. Republicons 'think' they are in bed with the Second Coming of Christ
in Rev. Moon...

Why don't they just be upfront about it, and put on a moon on their lapel with their little flags and their little crosses.

Strange bedfellows indeed.
