HWPV* So imagine Pamela's surprise when Princess -- one her dearly departed potbellies -- got a letter encouraging her to vote.
<snip>
Pamela says she doesn't have the faintest idea why the letter was sent to Princess. A few days later, she got a follow-up recorded phone call reminding Princess to return the voter registration application. She didn't.
It turns out that the letter and the call came from the Voter Participation Center in Washington, D.C. It's targeting unmarried women in two states, including Florida, trying to get them registered to vote. The center sent out close to a million letters in Florida alone.

"If she fell through the cracks and was able to have her application processed, she would have had to show a photo in order to vote," said Judy Walker, with the Polk County Elections Office.
