Abbas Suspends All Israeli Relations

Mahmoud Abbas has formally suspended all contact with Israel over its continuing five-day offensive on Gaza that has killed more than 100 Palestinians.

The European Union, the United Nations and even the Catholic pope joined the Palestinian president on Sunday in demanding an immediate halt to the violence.

Israel says the raids are self-defence, aimed at curbing homemade rockets being fired over the border from the Hamas-controlled territory, and has threatened to intensify its ground and air campaign, despite allegations it is using excessive force.

Nine rockets slammed into southern Israel, wounding four people on Sunday, Israeli ambulance workers said.

Two people, meanwhile, were killed by Israeli artillery shelling at the Jabaliya refugee camp, raising the number of Palestinians killed on Sunday to 10.

At least a third of the estimated 110 Palestinians killed over the past five days have been children, according to medical sources.

5. I wonder why Israel gets homemade rockets fired at it, and Sweden doesn't?

6. It's funny you should ask ... I was wondering the other day why

my Jewish neighborhood in NY had to explode after MLK was killed ... what the hell did we have to do with it? And why are my people singled out for shooting and stabbings - could it be because some of us are easily identifiable?

Recently, a Chinese boy was beaten in a NYC school - and you bet it was ethnic hatred ... that child had previously enjoyed education.

So Swedes are fortunate that they are mainly Swedish ... immigration has generated social problems there as well. So look beyond the P/I issue ... why are there homemade rockets? Because according to Islamic law, Jews cannot own the land we live on.

But now there's a nation to fight back and that's OK w/me. When I was the victim here in the US, no one defended me.
