World's most dangerous terrorist kills women, children in Somali missile attack
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/africa/03/03/somalia.us/index.html

<snip>
The U.S. military struck "a target against a known al Qaeda terrorist" in southern Somalia early Monday, the Pentagon said.

Bryan Whitman, a Pentagon spokesman, would not release any other details on the strike, which occurred when it was still late Sunday in Washington.

A U.S. military official told CNN's Barbara Starr that the strike near the town of Dhoobley, close to the Somali-Kenyan border, involved precision missiles.

It was aimed at a "facility where there were known terrorists" affiliated with East African al Qaeda operations, according to the official. It is unclear whether the target was hit in the strike.
...
The strike destroyed two houses -- killing three women and three children, and wounding another 20 people -- Dhoobley's District Commissioner Ali Nur Ali Dherre told CNN. Dherre said the remains of the missiles were marked "US K.
<snip>

WTF is this story doing buried on the "back pages" of CNN? We know damned well that if Bill Clinton (or Hillary or Obama) had ordered this strike, the rethugs would be making this front-page news. This war criminal who occupies the Oval Office has killed more people in the last seven years than any terrorist organization combined.

Precision missiles my ass. If it weren't so tragic, it would almost be funny how they claim to be using "precision" missiles, then say they don't know if the target was hit in the strike?

This is TERRORISM pure and simple. What in the FUCK did those women and children who died in the attack ever do to hurt us? Maybe * has decided to go after potential "future terrorists" as well? I do not know how this sick fucker and his criminal cabal sleep at night.

2. here's a bit more
A U.S. missile strike in southern Somalia on Monday targeted a man wanted by the FBI, according to a senior U.S. official.

It is unclear whether Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan was killed when a U.S. submarine fired a tomahawk missile at the target, the official said Tuesday.

The FBI wants Nabhan, 28, for questioning in the 2002 suicide bombing of an Israeli-owned hotel and the unsuccessful attack on an Israeli charter jet in Mombasa, Kenya.

The U.S. military has long sought Nabhan because he is believed to be deeply involved in al Qaeda's East African operations, the senior official said.

The strike destroyed two houses -- killing three women and three children and wounding another 20 people, said Dhoobley's district commissioner, Ali Nur Ali Dherre. Dherre said the remains of the missiles were marked "US K."

"I'm bored- do you wanna blow something up?"
"Sure, why not. Anyplace in mind?"
"Not really- let's play pin the tail on the donkey."
"Somalia?"
"Ok. We'll say it was Al-Qaeda."
"Isn't that excuse running thin yet?"
"Nope. I bet we can do it for another 5 years."

8. Sad part is, it's true
"Hey, did you hear that the military killed some civilians in Somalia?"

"No, really? That's horrible. Why did they do that for?"

"They were going after some high-ranking Al Qaeda leader."

"Oh, huzzah huzzah! Did they get the bastard?"

14. Good topic title! "They are plotting & planning all over the world to destabilize the world"
(line taken straight from the CNN article)

It sounds as tho there was some sort of mediation meeting taking place, since the take-over of that town last week. So the submarine is told "militants meeting" and fires missiles into the midst, no matter which elders or village members may have been participating in the discussion. What a smart way to "stabilize"...and now using the magic word to justify their warmongering!

Sure-fire way to win hearts and minds! :sarcasm:
