What does everyone think Howard Dean's future will entail?
Read a piece somewhere about how Howard Dean's term at the DNC is coming to an end and he probably won't remain as head of the DNC.

What does everyone else think his next role will be? And what does everyone think would be the best role for Dean and like to see him do?

1. A cabinet post in either Obama or Hillary's administration.
Possibly make himself available for Senator when or if Sen. Leahy retires.

2. Could you imagine him...
making speeches on the Senate floor? That would be great to see the passion and energy on a regular basis.

8. True, but if she was smart
she would make amends, giving him some significant part to play in her administration.

Magnanimity has never been the DLC's strong suit, which is why it won't happen.

9. Right, if Clinton gets in, they'll go back to DLC leadership
which means starving the party in the red states after all Dean's hard work to build the local parties back up.

I'm hoping he'll get a second term.

6. Surgeon General!

Too bad he's a doctor and not a lawyer - he'd make an awesome AG.

Chief of Staff sounds good. I don't think he's got the foreign policy chops to be Secretary of State. Is there an equivalent domestic policy post?
