What would Jesus' US Budget look like?
Let's just say he's really in charge. What would our annual budget look like?

7. closer to complete disbanding of the military industrial complex.
all the wealthy are told to give all their money to the poor. and all people that need help are actually given the help they need the most.

2. Be cautious here
While I'm not a believer I know a lot of people who place much emphasis on JC's encouragement to support charity and share with others.

But I'm pretty au fait with the NT and I can't recall a spot where he said government should do it. That question can actually be answered in a very right wing, almost libertarian way with sound scriptural support.

10. Jesus lived in a context of an oppressive government regime, though -- not one that is elected by
and represents the people.

Oh wait.

purely fictional.

6. Which Jesus?
The Christian Right's vengeful Final Judge...

St. Paul's sacrificial lamb...

or the "Kingdom of Heaven" communist of the New Testament’s red lettered quotes?

And while I agree that He didn't say the govt should do it....

He said WE should care for eachother

end of story, help one -another...
so, maybe more programs to promote subsidies and rewards for altruistic actions, on the part of individuals and companies?

12. Okay, so he didn't envision "Democracy" in his wildest dreams, BUT
what is Government for, then, if not to do en masse what we cannot do alone?
