2. The short version is that it is official in Brattleboro that Cheney and Bush are a-holes
:)

I think they voted to indict them if they ever set foot in their town. But I admit I haven't been following it too closely so I could be totally wrong. Well, I wasn't wrong about my first sentence...

3. In short....(from the Rutland Herald)
http://www.rutlandherald.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080302/NEWS04/803020394/1024/NEWS04

This town meeting Brattleboro voters will decide whether President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney should be indicted for violating their oath of office and failing to follow the Constitution for a variety of actions stemming from the war in Iraq and the war on terrorism.

If the resolution passes, supporters say Bush and Cheney could be arrested in Brattleboro if they step foot here after their terms in office expire.

Organizers say they hope their condemnation of the Bush administration will spread to towns all over the country.

8. The resolution calls on the Brattleboro Police Dept. to arrest Bush and Cheney if they enter town.
Not that they ever would, of course, Brattleboro
being a hotbed of progressive thought.

It passed 2012 to 1795 in Brattleboro. Also passed in Marlboro. Don't know the margin.

14. Too bad it means zippo, zero, zilch.
Bush could make an appearance at the Brattleboro jail, deliver himself essentially and they still wouldn't arrest him. The Secret Service wouldn't allow it and who do you think will bow to whom in that situation?
