Super delegates - do something about Siegelman! I am calling you out!
All I have been hearing is that the Super delegates are senior members of the party who have nothing more in mind then what is best for the party - and will act accordingly. If this is true, I would like to suggest that they take a couple of hours away from primary politics and get together and demand that Siegelman be free on appeal. What could be more important than showing solidarity on one of our own who has obviously been railroaded? As Super delegates, they must understand that this could have been one of them. 100 or more Dems standing proudly together and demanding justice cannot be ignored.
However, the legal system has to address this matter; that's MUCH of what we're about in this country (bush/cheney/rove notwithstanding.)
I think Court of Appeals has motion before it concerning his release pending appeal. I pray they have the guts to decide it properly, and quickly. AND I hope his attorneys are competent.
