Tony Zirkle says we should talk about segregating the United States by race. So then you work out the percent of white people and give them a certain number of states. Same for blacks. Same for Asians and other hues of humanity.

Zirkle, who’s seeking the Republican nomination for Congress’ 2nd District, believes it’s worth debating.

“I’m not going to say which side of the debate I fall on,” Zirkle told The Tribune on Monday. But he did say the idea is worth looking into — that segregation could create a new sense of community.

He went on to tell the Kokomo Perspective, “While we are brainwashed with respect to integration and forcing everyone to be together and basically all arguments to the contrary are silenced, historically it’s very often been the case that you have to segregate and apartheid people to stop the continual war.”

My midwest-geography-addled brain tells me that South Bend is in one of the "I" states but I don't remember which one. And I thought Kokomo was in the Caribbean...

2. Oh yeah--of course, it's in MY district! ugh!
I think the KKK is a minor presence around here, although discreetly. I feel so embarrassed.

7. I haven't heard anything on segregation as such, but I've seen
a couple of articles on separating the sexes in school. Never bothered to read the articles because I can't believe anyone would want that to happen.

6. This guy is simply goofy
Maybe he has not looked at population figures lately. He will be the minority soon, further what if the world decided to segregate? We would in a world of trouble, and some wonder why the rethug party is going extinct!!!!!!!
