Isn't this Treason?
If Multinational Corporations owe no allegiance to the US….

And numerous politicians, chasing after campaign funds, sell out:

THIS nation’s workers…

THIS nation’s armed forces…

THIS nation’s economic well being…

Isn’t THAT the textbook definition of treason?

Or am I missing something here?

3. According the constitution....no...
Article III Section 3

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

5. You're missing an enemy.
That's a clearly stated Constitutional requirement for a Treason charge.

9. I think looting this country's industrial infrastructure
and sending it all offshore qualifies the multinational corporation as being a domestic enemy of the country.

After all, they've left us incapable of surviving a big war, let alone being on the winning side.

Anyone who has aided their weakening of this country is a traitor.

10. Yup! Multinationals have proven a danger to our national and economic security.
They've also proven themselves enemies to a democratic-state of nation, to our Constitution and our laws by taking ANY action possible to circumvent all of the foregoing.

12. Oh, I think that they're filthy, thieving scum...
...make no mistake. I just can't find a Constitutional basis for a Treason charge. But I'm all for prosecuting, and upon a guilty verdict, imposing the stiffest possible sentence.

6. Add, multinational corporations have the power over this nation and you have, fascism.
Is advancing fascism, treason?

Or am I missing something here?

8. It's like an 1980s arbitrage buyout writ large...
Unscrupulous traders realized that a company's assets were worth more than the price of a controlling share of the stock. So...they bought a controlling amount of stock and then liquidated the company...

Multinationals simply bought a controlling share of our politicians and then liquidated the country...

14. No
the only applicable definition of treason is found in the constitution.

Things that are bad for America aren't treason. People should stop throwing the word around without knowing what it means.

15. Baloney! These people took an oath to defend and protect this country from harm.....
.....They broke that oath and now they are traitors to this country, if even a quarter
of what they have done to "The People", in accomplishing THEIR goals, is true.

17. No dear,
you're spouting the bullshit.

Treason has a real definition - you can find it in the constitution. Doing something that harms America isn't necessarily treason.
