ORLANDO, Fla. -- A sick teenager said an over-zealous security screener at Orlando International Airport put his life in danger. After Channel 9 started making calls, the TSA opened an investigation into the matter.
James Hoyne, 14, has a feeding tube in his stomach and carries a back-up in a sealed clear plastic bag. Hoyne said two weeks ago a TSA officer insisted on opening the sterile equipment, contaminating his back-up feeding up tube which he later needed.

3. I agree. This job is obviously very

attractive to bullies. My mother, who is 76 years old, was yelled at by a TSA screener because she had mascara that wasn't in a plastic bag. He was lecturing her and questioning her on why she didn't understand that mascara is a liquid. Some of these people working in this position have serious personality disorders.

2. Freaking idiots

They're allegedly there to protect people and in the process they're putting lives in danger. What sort of training do they get other than in bullying people around? Are they incapable of referring things to a supervisor if they don't know WTF they're doing? :banghead:

4. TSA Screeners aren't paid much, but are given a whole

lot of authority to throw around - a bad combination - that inevitably leads to abuse. These people aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. At Sea-Tac metal in my ankle from an old injury set off the metal detector. I explained the problem to the TSA goon, showed him my 6-inch scar, and invited him to wand the ankle. Instead, he called over a female screener for a full-on bra feel up which he stood there and watched. While this was going on, a 90 year old alzheimer's patient hunched over in her wheelchair was having her shoes yanked off and was hoisted up out of her chair for wanding. The woman's daughter, also a senior citizen, was crying and telling the goons to please leave her mother alone. If these idiot morons can't tell a frail old sick woman from a terrorist, they have no business being airport screeners - which is all a big, fat joke to begin with. No one who intends to cause havoc aboard an airplane is going to do anything to draw the attention of TSA.

5. If you are TSA employee your a scumbag,

I like refer to them as the Walmart greeters of fascism. I can't figure out if these guys really think their job is that important. I would think that any threatning behavior on an airplane would be meet by 120 people ready to kick your ass in a heartbeat.

9. Watching the compliant sheep go through is

downright frightening. Amazing how many of them allow themselves to be touched, fondled, etc. without uttering a peep. When I was put through the TSA wringer, I let everyone within earshot know that it was all bullshit and government sanctioned harrassment for no other purpose than to cause me to cower in fear - which I would never do. The goon warned me several times to "be quiet," but I continued calling bs and finally they just let me go. My 10 year old daughter was standing there watching this whole charade and I kept telling her to take a good look and see for herself what a bullshit country this is.
