3. I agree that he doesn't seem to give a shit
But I don't think that has anything to do with him not having to buy his own gas. Most people with the ability to become president are going to be out of touch with how normal americans live, unless they specifically choose not to.

4. He's a product of his class
and is simply unable to realize that people who are just scraping by can't dip into the trust fund or sell a few stocks when prices go up.

I've met quite a few of that class. They are affable but utterly clueless and will resist all attempts to educate them. As long as their immediate surroundings are pleasant, they don't care about yours.

6. Yeah, but FDR came from that same class. So did JFK.
I don't think it's just class, although being in that class makes it very easy not to give a shit.

7. FDR was a surprise to everyone.
He was put into office precisely because they expected a rich man to continue the disastrous policies of his predecessor and not rock the yacht his class was in. He realized how close this country was to revolution and did what was necessary to avoid it.

JFK was a product of his class in that his crowning achievement was to lower the top marginal rate from 90% to 70%. I see that as the beginning of the end of the New Deal.

5. Or paid for health insurance?

He and Cheney are parasites who have been feeding at the public trough far too long.

9. Not only that, he is actually allowing energy 'buddies' to prosper at the
loss to The People. Talk about backwards ass.
