A Florida "Do Over" primary would be subject to rules made by Republicans.

All primaries are subject to rules made by the state in which they are held.

Florida has an overwhelming Republican State Congress and Charlie Crist, a Republican, is our Governor (who hopes to be McCain's VP choice).

How in the world can we have a Florida "Do Over" primary in which the Republicans wouldn't do their best to influence (via state rules) one way or the other?

I'm not sure what the situation is in Michigan, but any form of a FL "Do Over" primary election would be a travesty.

There may be a way around it, but I don't know what it is.

3. I'm all for a "Do Over" if it were held under Dem rules.

But as I stated above, the Republicans control Florida and will be making up any rules regarding a "Do Over."

Add to this that Palm Beach County (and perhaps others) are in the middle of changing over from touch screen machines to optical scanners. There is no way this will be completed before the Dem convention. So what do we do about PBC?

I live in Palm Beach County. My vote was overturned by the SCOTUS in 2000. And I have no idea if it was one of those "disappeared" votes in 2004.

As much as I'd love a "Do Over" vote, I don't trust our state Republican congress to put any rules in place that will lead to a fair election. If you believe they will, I have a bridge to sell you.

4. I lived in Delray Beach for a decade and for a while, Boca. Honestly, my mother's

friends had no idea if they voted for Gore or Buchanan. As for the state's Democratic Party, don't get me started on how little they care about African Americans or anyone's voting rights. The problem in Florida ain't just w/the GOP.

2. Imagine the number of Republicans changing their voter registration

to D so that they can vote in the "do over". This is a no-win situation for us.

Additionally, will it be a true do over with ALL the previous candidates on the ballot, or will it just be Hillary or Obama?
