No Quarter
No quarter for hypocrites, liars and cheats-no matter what side of the aisle they come from. I am saddened and sickened that yet another politician has fallen to this. The fact that he is a Democrat does not absolve him of anything in my book. The fact that he admitted it before it was admitted for him does not make him some sort of maverick hero for coming clean. The fact that he spoke out so vehemently against prostitution rings 4 years ago makes him a blatant hypocrite. I am sorry for his wife and children. My empathy ends there.

No Quarter

2. At least we are getting confirmation that political rivals are being
targeted in these federal wiretaps.

I'm sure Wall Street wanted him gone real bad.

I don't feel sorry for him, but I am concerned about how they are targeting people through wiretaps.

13. Wiretaps that Spitzer, himself, lobbied for.
How very, very sad.

5. Yes, and it makes me wonder what they know about others.
There is a real caution in Washington these days. Bushco can do anything they like, it seems, and get away with it...so far.

And the powers that be do...nothing.

Why?

This makes me wonder if the tin foil hat theories that Bushco has dirt on all of them might have more truth to them than we know.

7. He is a raging hypocrite.
Which doesn't mean I think prostitution should be illegal. I don't. However, he was the one that took the tough stance against it and then got caught indulging in the fruits of a high priced professional sex trade worker.

That is 100% hypocritical of him.

14. For me, it is not about sex.
It's about thinking one is above the very same laws one prosecutes the breaking of.

9. ...and it bothers me that so many think it is just about sex.
It is not about sex. It is about being a hypocrite. And yes, I still believe there are those out there who can and do walk the walk.

11. I'm curious as to the methods of the wiretap approval..
I wouldn't be surprised if this is another example of a politicized federal agency. What a guy does in the privacy of his own room is none of my business, and I don't see a problem with sex between two consenting adults. I am intrigued as to how the FBI wiretapped Spitzer, and if these wiretaps were a part of the new (now temporarily old) PAA authorizations. If Spitzer were smart, he would not admit to anything and fight the wiretaps. I wish him the best of luck.

12. My only problem is that he sent people to jail for it. I wonder how willingly
he will go?
