I, for one, will not post in GDP. Anyone else?

I was one of the early posters on DU and have been banned more than once for going batshit insane on other posters because I got caught up in the anger and vitriol. I am guilty for allowing my attitude from this board (and others) roll over into GD or the Lounge.

Yes, I've been reading GDP daily. Yes, I have my own opinions about many of the threads that are there.

But I know that for me, if I want to be able to continue posting here, I must avoid allowing myself to get caught up in GDP.

Anyway, for those that know me, I'm glad to be back. And for those that don't know me, ask the others about how I made 'The 700 Club' the funniest 8 hours here on DU.

It wasn't that I used to flame on other posters habitually but I would definitely let them get under my skin and in turn attack.

I've been banned 2 or 3 times because of it. Now that I've not posted on this place for a couple years I can see how I let myself get carried away.

So I'm trying to just pick and choose which threads I reply to. It's much better for my blood pressure that way.

So openly displayed in most mental health facilities. Most of the people in those places have far more controlled symptoms.

I have always said that people in treatment for MH conditions are not the ones that society should be worried about. It's the ones who deny they have issues and go around acting out constantly.

Kinda like GDP.
