Where were the Rethug governors when Vitter
was exposed? Why are they calling for Spitzer to resign when they never called for Vitter or Craig. Fuck off!

4. Because Vitter has christian conservative values!!
and its okay for conservatives to hang out in men's rooms and take viagra to a country which allows trafficing in child prostitution. Lordy I do love those values.

8. Spitzer made a LOT of enemies on Wall Street
i.e., the GOP base. They want their payback NOW.

9. Yes, I hate the double standard!
One law for Dems, no law for Reeps.

It's disgusting.

Both Bush and Cheney should have already
been impeached, tried, and locked up in a
just world.

That doesn't excuse Spitzer, though. He
really has to step down.

But the Reeps should be held to the same
standard.. ALL OF THEM.

10. Spitzer
I'm sorry to say, I think he should resign. Not because what he did was so wrong, but because he prosecuted and made a show of peoples personal foibles when he was the DA. If we are to be the party we want to be, it must be shown that when our pols. do something wrong, they do the right thing. That said if all he did was go to a prostitute then everyone should let him deal with it his own way. Where are the civil libertarians when you need them?

12. Maybe he should but
who the fuck are those hypocrites to demand it on moral grounds when they remained silent about their own.

14. If A Law Was Broken...
Yes, they are absolute hypocrites involving Craig...he admitted his guilt to a felony and should have been expelled from the Senate. There hasn't even been a damn ethic hearing (but then isn't that Lieberman?). But are we to play that same game?

To use the Clinton inquisition term, it wasn't the sex, it's the crime here. Spitzer was the chief law enforcement officer of the state of New York, he knew the law and took his chances and is now alleged of breaking it. Let's see what the investigation shows...but if he's indicted and convicted of a crime then he should step down. Rule of law trumps all...especially for one who should have known better.

Vitter is a stickier mess as his name wasn't part of an investigation, he himself was never a indicted on any crime...although you wouldn't get an argument from me that one shouldn't be initiated. Again, if he knowingly broke the law and is convicted, he has breached his public trust.

Now if the GOOPers are willing to apply this brush of accountability, then it's welcome, but that's not how they are...so I agree with you. They should FUCK OFF!!!
