FBI Affidavit excerpt regarding Client 9
That document, an excerpt of which you'll find below, describes hooker interactions with ten johns, including one client who paid cash for a February 13 rendezvous at a Washington, D.C. hotel. The New York Times, which broke the Spitzer story, has identified the 48-year-old politician as Client-9. As described in the FBI document, Client-9 (clearly a repeat customer) apparently went to great lengths to arrange the illicit Washington encounter, choosing to mail money in advance to the ring, instead of using a credit card. Client-9, whose conversations were recorded by an FBI wiretap, would not do "traditional wire transferring," the affidavit quotes one Emperors Club employee remarking.

2. Am I the only person who wonders why my %*$&@ing Tax Dollars are going to "fight" consenting adults
who want to pay other consenting adults for sex?

4. Good Question. We should ask the candidates where they stand on legalizing prostitution.
They better be in favor of it!!!

10. Oh, we'll never get a rational answer on that. I'd settle for some sanity on the drug war,
for starters.

7. Did you ask that when your tax dollars paid Spitzer's salary as AG?
He cut his teeth prosecuting prostitution rings.

9. Not specifically, no, b/c I'm not a NY resident. But my position on the matter
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 04:47 PM by impeachdubya
has remained essentially unchanged. It's ridiculous. I'm not defending Spitzer, I'm lamenting the situation where our government has nothing better to do than go after consenting adults who pay each other for sex, or pot smoking cancer grannies, that sort of thing.

3. I cannot help but think...
That in spite of all the criticisms that can be brought to bear against Spitzer, and they are legion, that there still is a political component to this investigation that will come out. A component not unlike we saw with the federal prosecutors and Siegelman.

Just wait for it. I am confident it is on the way.
