3. His show was shitcanned, but he will still be around
He's apparently been reassigned as a campaign correspondent.

I hope they've assigned him to McSame. I would hate to hear his reports on the Democratic nominee.

4. he has helped Rachel Maddow
in the beginning he would have her on his show, I've heard him on hers and he didn't seem like the jerk that he was on MSNBC.

7. I was actually pleasantly amazed by an interview she did of him on her show
He sounded really quite reasonable, dryly humourous and not over-the-top like he is on TV. She really managed to draw out the best in him. If he was like that on his TV show, he might have gotten to keep it a bit longer. As it is, he generally seems to be a worthless tool.

8. yes I was listening to that show
He was so nice, and even had good advice for the Democrats. it makes you wonder who really pulls the strings for some of these supposedly news shows.

6. They Finally Had To Eat The Contract...
I expect Bow Tie boy to go the way of Rita Cosby in the near future. He'll go on special assignment into oblivion. And good to finally see.

Here's another case of a network trying to cash in and getting burned...someone at the network (this was before Abrams) felt this moron was worth big money and high profile...signed him to an iron-clad deal that his successors have had to live with. It's similar to the baseball "play me" deal where the owner spent so much on the big money player whose gone bust, he still has to play him to "justify" he wasn't wrong. Since he can't trade him, he might as well play him.

Methinks this is part of the slow shift at the network to shed it's overload high-priced right wing spewers...Tucker brought nothing to the party a Scarborough or Buchanan can't spew, and that the network is probably seeing research showing being more moderate (far from being Progressive or Liberal) is good business.

I read that "Stretch" Gregory will get the time slot...but I also recall at one time that the network was planning to move Tweety and Countdown to an hour earlier. In the meantime, farewell, Bowtie Boy...I get the suspicion that Ailes has already called and a nook is being set aside in Murdochville.

Next on the death watch: Katie Couric.

Cheers...

9. The person who thought Tucker was worth a show was Rick Kaplan
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 07:01 PM by BerryBush
who was in charge back in 2005...Rita Cosby's show was another one of his "bright" ideas...

On edit: He is now babysitting Katie Couric over at CBS...
