I'm reading some of the posts here today and I'm stunned. When did we go from marriage is an institution that should be respected to "well maybe the man had needs" "it was only a prostitute" "she wasn't a slave?"

I seriously don't know about that! There was/is something about him; ie: Arrogance that just made him stand out in the crowd... Sorry to say, but I really have had trouble in making this guy out as a true Democrat, mostly because of his arrogance....

i never liked spitzer because he's a crusading jerk.

but i don't think any party is more prone to arrogance, jerkiness, etc. it's the ideas that differ. arrogant politicians are a dime a dozen in any political party. it's de rigeur.

it's rare to find any politician at that level who isn't arrogant, conceited, etc. few people are even going to seek office, let alone be successful without a healthy dose of self-love, self-importance, and arrogance. some, otoh, hide it better than others.

wall street has sort of a love/hate with spitzer. i feel the same way.

i do NOT like to see him going through this, though. i wish the guy no ill will, but it's pretty clear he brought this on himself.


i also, unlike spitzer, don't think prostitution should even be illegal.
