"thinking this phenomnom was from hormones in meat, chicken, etc. now to find out hormones are also in the drinking water which doubles the sources of hormones."
please don't get me started on the antiscientific ninnies who are against bovine growth hormone
growth hormone is NOT bioavailable. there is ZERO evidence that it affects meat in any negative way.
otoh, some cattle are also treated with trenbolone , which is slightly bioavailable but has an extremely short halflife, so again - no risk
the issue of environmental estrogens otoh IS real. estrogens in plastic, and especially estrogens in water supply. people who take exogenous estrogen (birth control pills, etc.), pass someof this estrogen into their urine
eventually thismakes its way into the water supply, since it is not filtered by conventional water filters.
this has been a concern for decades.
and is valid.
as for young people with puffy nipples.
that has been common for centuries
the term is "gynecomastia" and it occurs when (among other things) excess testosterone is aromatized INTO estrogen. males (like females) have estrogen receptors in the nipple area.
this is also seen in bodybuilders who take exogenous testosterone, and do not manage their estrogen through anti-aromatases (arimidex etc.).
but puffy nipples in teens has been present for many many years. it may (and can be) EXACERBATED by environmental estrogens, but the primary cause is hormonal surges in youths
note also that people with higher levels of bodyfat are more prone to gyno because of increased aromatase levels
