Is the NSA Spy Progam Really to Protect Us?
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 01:48 PM by MartyL
Bush continues to claim that the spying is to protect us, yet look at all of these stories where the targets are Grannies, Quakers, peace groups, anti-war protests, Catholic Workers, etc.... Are these groups a threat to "national security"? Are they planning an attack on fellow citizens- or are they a threat to the war machine?

In this Video Bush show us his deep mental capabilities, followed by his reason for the spy program- "if al Qaeda's calling, we want to know what they're saying." Followed by a clip from AT&T whistleblower Mark Klein.

Bush's reason sounds plausible, but the problem is that Bush's spy program 'vacuums up all internet traffic, foreign and domestic". That's not just spying on al Qaeda cells, but on millions of Americans, which is UnConstitutional, and step 2 in the Dictatorship for Dummies handbook.

This video compares Bush 2004 vs Bush 2005.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc3Ujivxd_0

* In 2004 he says that they still get a warrant before spying because, 'Constitutional Guarantees are in place."
* In 2005 he says we authorized spying without warrants because, we need to act quickly.

Thus, this is video proof straight from the monkey's mouth, that he knew spying without a warrant was UnConstitutional, yet he did it anyway. Coming from someone who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, this violation is treason.

2. Poindexter
I'm sure he's the wizard behind the curtain harvesting all this stuff. He just can't get enough illegal surveillance on law abiding citizens.

We have all been TIA'ed, I'm sure.

4. absolutely, no doubt in my mind whatsoever and history bears me out
we should have been expecting this with the next Republican administration. It's what they do. They don't have any popular support for their stupid restrictive agenda, so they have to cheat. They use their power as rich, connected military types to cheat. It is an old old story.

6. Clearly what Bush is doing is illegal
What our 'Representatives' are doing in their enabling of Bush is also illegal.
They must all be held accountable.
