You all ought to be tracking what's going on there. Right downtown there is twisted metal, trees blown over..

:-(

watching it on the news. We were lucky, but downtown looks pretty bad.

Tornadoes in Atlanta - they gotta be kidding me..

Hell, last time we had a tornado so close to us, trees were downed...

5. The damage looks horrific downtown
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 10:20 PM by Politicub
with the downed trees and damaged buildings... not to mention just the people on the street. :(

It's amazing how much damage a tornado can do in the downtown of a city.

10. Lots of trees down there
sheet metal and glass in the street. I've been watching their Channel 11 streamed, http://www.11alive.com/video/default_live.aspx?storyid=112917

They always wondered what would happen if one of those things hit a city. It seems this was a small one. I'd hate to see a big one.

16. So far all the injuries have been minor. Cuts from flying glass from the blown
out windows. With the thousands of people who were downtown tonight for the games and conventions, that's very very fortunate!

11. When I was trying to leave Atlanta earlier today, I did say...
(more than once), "Gawd, I hate this goddamn place", but I just meant all of the fucked up traffic.
I'm only 60 miles away and I didn't know about any of this damage until I opened this thread.
I hope everyone is all right.
