TULSA, Okla. --

It's hardly a surprise to see rain, snow or hail falling from Oklahoma skies from time to time.
However, residents at an Oklahoma apartment complex we surprised by what fell from the sky at
them this week.

A bomb attached to a rocket was inadvertently dropped from a military jet onto the Canyon Creek
Apartments in Tulsa on Thursday, authorities said, reported KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.

The couple who lives in the unit there was not home at the time, and officials said the bomb
itself was a dud -- just a training weapon.

"We do not take off out of Tulsa with live bombs," said Maj. Gen. Bud Wyatt of the United States
Air Force. "We don't take off out of Tulsa with live rockets or live missiles."

Military officials are trying to figure out how the pilot could have dropped the training weapon.

The jet pilot told authorities he didn't realize anything was wrong until he returned from his mission.

:wtf:

1. Residents should have had their own personal Surface-To-Air missiles for self-defense.
Why does Oklahoma hate the Second Amendment?

2. You might recall the admonition of the Founding Fathers against a standing military too.
