They cover what their corporate masters want them to cover. Right now, they needed a distraction from the Dan Siegelman story. Like there's only room in the system for one Democratic Governor story, so they displaced Siegelman with Spitzer.

Funny--yesterday I had lunch with a bunch of liberal, relatively politically-aware people. They were all prattling on about Spitzer, and several had never heard of the Siegelman story.

Pimps crush runaway girls with a mix of violence and affection, degradation and gifts, and then require absolute obedience to a rigid code: the girl cannot look the pimp in the eye, call him by his name, or keep any cash.
