George Bush is not a criminal... He did not lie us into war... He did not break the law...
George Bush is not a criminal... He did not lie us into war... for if he had would not Congress hold him accountable for all the treasures wasted, all the lives destroyed, all the sorrow caused? Indeed, the United States of America would never suffer a President to lie to Congress concerning such a terrible crime without addressing it...

George Bush did not break the law when he authorized the wiretapping of American's without a warrant... for if he had, Congress would have acted to stop him... not validate his actions by changing the laws and giving immunity to those who aided and abetted him...

George Bush is not a war criminal... for if he was our Congress... bound under the Rule of Law... the highest law of the land... bound by our Constitution.... Congress would be forced to act in response to high crimes and misdemeanors... if Bush has waged an illegal war; Congress would have him in chains... since he is not in chains, he is not a war criminal... Indeed, Congress has not only failed to repudiate him... they have increased his war funding... have authorized more troops... have poured even more fuel on the fires that threaten to damn us all if history is allowed to judge us... thankfully, we shall never be judged...

George Bush has not authorized torture and indeed America does not torture... America is righteous and just in all things... no evil deed has been done in the name of liberty and, in fact, justice wells up as waters, and righteousness gives rise to a mighty stream because America is liberty and America is justice... if we were not then George Bush would have to be held in account for violating liberty and staining justice... which Congress refuses to do... Anytime he acts, Congress bows down to their rightful and just King George, King of King and Master of the World... they grovel at his feet like sycophantic worms dining off the scraps of their master gleanings... they follow him because the Rule of Law says they must... The Rule of Law is not the Constitution... the Rule of Law resides in the heart and mind and soul of one man... George Bush... if it did not... Congress would be forced to usurp him and remove him from office... Restoring Constitutional rule... which they have no intention of doing.... an action which is "off the table"...

You, my friends, are wrong about George Bush... if he indeed did all that you say he did... then why has our Congress not acted? If George Bush is evil then why have they not only allowed evil to flourish but helped to increase evils lot? If George Bush is a liar then why do they take him at his word? If he is hate-filled... then why does Congress love him so...? You must be wrong about George because Congress... which knows all... sees all... and is eternally and rightfully good in all they do... because they do not see George Bush in the same light at all. He is their Messiah, their liberator... the one that has broken the shackles of Constitutionality and released them to create a new law in the image they find pleasing and righteous... Congress is free from the Bill of Rights, the Rule of Law... Free from the shackles of the People's sense of right and wrong... free to amass power and worship money with out regard to ridiculous ideals of dignity and honor...

George Bush is not a fool... for if he were a fool... then Congress... the Congress that dotes on him... protects him... coddles him... cowers in fear of him... then Congress, in its entirety would also be blind fools for following him into a pit... You, my friends, are wrong about George Bush... he is the rightful King if America... sanctified by the House and legitimized by the Senate... bow down to his power, love him for he is America... and if you are not with America, you are against her... you are the traitor... you are the one who hates this land and the people in it... you are the failure and the law breaker... at least... in the eyes of our most benevolent Congress of the Kingdom of America.

1. Congressional complicity
It's all too easy to just blame GB but far more challenging and accurate to examine the entire political system and how it operates.

2. so, if he didn't break the law, didn't lie, and is not a criminal, then,
why does he slap "executive privilege" on everything that he does, including doodles done while he's supposed to pay attention to economic meetings?

3. Oh sure...bring logic into the discussion!
C'mon...the King cannot be bothered to pay attention to something so trivial as an "economic meeting." Not when there is killing to be done.

5. The same reason shallow people stare in the mirror... vanity...
Besides, it wouldn't look good to not pretend to follow the Constitution... at least publicly. In a way, it's very similar to our election systems... they offer the illusion of Democracy so people can really feel they are a part of something... which in truth, they are not. Stalin... or Lenin... once said, "It's not how they cast the votes but how you count them that wins elections..." The same axiom holds for governing... it's not the people that rule in America, it's the cash the people have that rules... consolidate that power in the hands of a few and the government of "We the people..." can finally and irrevocably be marginalized and even shrunk so low as to be drowned in a bathtub. If these last 8 years have been the measure then the American Dream has been fulfilled and it's time to create a new vision and new greatness and new direction for the Kingdom. Bush and his Congress have been allowed to redefine what America is supposed to be and the people of America themselves are too ignorant and selfish to care. The people are forced to make great leaps of faith in order to rationalize the continuation of this terrible path we are on but thanks to a willing media, impotent and complicit Judiciary and the easily corruptible Congress, those leaps are made with machine like ease... and truth and justice and honor and integrity and plain old human decency are tossed away like used condoms. It's beautiful really, representative Democracy is a foolish ideal and best left to choke and die in some VA ward with the rats and the smell of shit... in good company with the rest of the ignorant fools that believed they were preserving the American way. It is for vanity's sake that he claims "executive privilege" for what fear does he have of retribution? Accountability now rests on the hope that there is a God of Truth and of Justice... for no capitulating Congress will ever hold him to make an account of his actions. Thank Nancy for that...

6. K & R...
Great post!

Unfortunately, chucklenuts will walk away into the fake cowboy sunset that exists only in his own warped mind, his depraved sense of "moral justification" in tacked, the blood of millions dripping from his hands, being held accountable for nothing by no one.

7. Ode to the Nancy Disaster
(Part the Sixth)

Oh, our Nancy Disaster,
Impeachment was our only leverage,
Why, oh why did you sacrifice it all?
We had such hopes, but you were an unmitigated disaster.

8. Come on... that's not fair... Nancy and George are friends...
They are contemporaries... accomplices.... buddies unto death. They worship the same idols together, hate non-Americans the same way together... despise the poor together... betraying her soulless mate is not on the table. She would rather die than abandon George... she's like the unnamed woman in the song Seven Spanish Angels who would rather die for her bandito lover than live without him... it's beautiful in a ghastly evil sort of way...

11. Affirming my oft-stated thesis: we have met the enemy and it is those among us who have supported,
aided and abetted, shilled for, or did nothing to stop the madness of the self-appointed king, actually emperor. :D
