So I'm in Dallas, visiting my parents on my way to Chicago
and reading DU in my Dad's office.
He is 78 and curious to know what I am reading on the net.

I left the computer to putter in the kitchen and
a few minutes later, my Dad comes in and asks,

"What is that web site?"
"Democratic Underground" I told him.
"Looks like a National Security net to identify dissenters." he said.
After a few minutes he says,
"They are probably tracking every computer that visits that site."
"We'll then you can join us all in the gulag." said I.
"Probably so..." he muttered as he walked away.

So there Skinner, you have been made by my Dad.
Now we all now that YOU are Agent Mike!!!

I think the guys who got our nation into this mess are going to run away and hide before their last day of office.

The White House and it's offices are going to look like they were occupied by bad tenants who stole off in the night taking everything with them including the kitchen sink.

Dick Cheney has probably already bought himself a luxury bunker in Dubai, and George W. Bush is going to sell the movie set in Texas and spend some time reacquainting himself with the bottle at the family compound in Paraguay. (I predict we will see some fantastic drunken Glen Campbell or Nick Nolte type paparazzi pictures of W!)

Watching DU is a waste of time at this point. In the Bush Administration it's the people who are still friendly towards them that they have to worry about the most -- the only friends they have left are the morons, crooks, and psychopaths.
