Samantha Power To Guest On The Colbert Report Tonight

Liberal internationalist meet satirical theoconservative.

Renata Luczak of Comedy Central just confirmed a report via email to FishbowlNY that Samantha Power will guest on The Colbert Report tonight. Power, you'll recall, abruptly resigned from her position as senior foreign policy adviser to Senator Barack Obama over unfortunate off-the-record remarks to a Scottish newspaper. Colbert Report writers will certainly have their work cut out for them, as Samantha Power has spent most of her professional career opposing genocide. And the book Power will be promoting tonight is a profile of the politically blameless United Nations envoy and peace advocate Sergio Vieira de Mello.

2. Ooh, must watch!
The sexy pic doesn't do much for me -- she's not my type -- but I want to see this.

4. Now if we can hope that Colbert will shut up long enough to let
Power speak.
