U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann: God is backing the United States in Iraq
from THinkProgress:

Bachmann: God is backing the United States in Iraq.»

On Saturday, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) spoke to a group of Minnesota GOP. During that speech, reports the West Sherburne Tribune, Bachmann highlighted the progress in Iraq, stating that God is on the side of America in the war:

What our service men and women have accomplished over there has been nothing short of astounding. Though you never hear about it in the media. God has not abandoned us.

Bachmann also said that global warming is “all voodoo, nonsense, hokum, a hoax.”

2. Bachmann embarrasses the state of Minnesota once again.
She is Katherine Harris' clone.

13. Would that be Wayzata? Cheney did a fund-raiser in Wayzata.
Think that's the only time I know of that Cheney went anywhere near MN.

17. Wayzata, MN is in the 3rd district, which also currently has a Republican Congressperson.
But Jim Ramstad (R-MN) is retiring from Congress, and I hope we'll elect a Democrat in November.

19. I hope so too.
I remember, after most of the country was flim-flammed and bamboozled into voting for Reagan again, there was a bumpersticker that read, "Don't blame me, I'm from Minnesota."

5. What the hell happened to Minnesotans?
Once upon a time, most of the people there were sensible sorts- not given to over the top batshit crazy's like Bachmann.

I reckon it's the consolidated corporate media and their decades of pummelling communities with propaganda- with no other sides presented.

I just posted this on the McCain thread but, for some strange reason, no seems to be on that thread (is it the scary picture?):

‘CNN’s Kyra Phillips speaks to some Iraqi soldiers about the U.S. presidential election and democracy in Iraq. While they spoke enthusiastically about the American soldiers teaching them discipline and how to effectively combat their enemies in Iraq, the soldiers were less effusive in their praise for those managing the war and their plans for bringing about democracy. Phillips tried in vain to locate any McCain supporters among the group.

“Just to be perfectly clear here, I did ask them are you following any of the republican candidates?…Do you want to talk about John McCain? Within that whole group, not one wanted a republican in the US presidential seat. They were all for a democrat. They were all for that type of change because they said they were living a republican war.”’

As far as this person Bachmann goes - she’s obviously insane.

12. "Gott mit uns"
It meant as much back then as it does now. Saying it, even inscribing it on belt buckles or writing it on placards for the enemy, doesn't mean diddly-squat.

say a few Hail Mary's, and see if you don't get your head blasted off.
