Has anyone seen this new Remax commercial?

Second scene, with a burly male (US Marine?) dressed in fatigues at a computer (web-chatting?). Just to drive the point home, a woman dressed in military outfit walks by:

But we're not wasting any time searching for our perfect place."

Ad then goes to say:

Now's a great time to buy a home, no matter where you are in the world

Yes, what could be more patriotic than making a buck off the memory of our soldiers abroad? btw - nothing in the ad talks about special services for military families; protection against disruption of mortgage payments caused by stop-loss deployments, etc.

Although, with all the foreclosures, maybe it is a good time to buy...

No one know when the bottom will occur. But a person looking to buy property to LIVE IN for the long-term with stable employment should consider purchasing a house. This should include a 20% downpayment with a fixed mortgage.

Get a low interest fixed rate, and you've got plenty of homes to choose from. (you'll more than likely have to look at a few disasters to find a nice one, but be patient, there are a lot of nice homes available)

On top of trying to talk people into buying now when prices are still high, they're using the troops to do it. :mad:
