Kuwaiti parliament dissolved after resignations

Kuwait's governing cabinet has resigned en masse.

A struggle for power has been underway for some time in the Gulf state, with a recent clash between parliamentary members and cabinet ministers leading to resignations of a number of politicians.

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, appealed to both sides to work together for the sake of the country, but without success.
