Ladies & Gentleman tax cuts for him. Money that puts in Limbaugh's pocket does not put money in those who carry a lunch-box.
Where the hell is the common sense?????????

2. He tells them that he is their voice.
Anybody who makes it onto the radio nationally is going to be paid well.

It kind of goes with the territory. As long as he can say the things that get ears listening to the radio, advertisers will pay his salary.

If he ever says or does something egregious enough and people tune out, he's gone.

11. Obviously pleanty of people in Ohio
Rush Limbaugh conspires and this is what happens...
Ohio's revised election code includes an election falsification clause (Revised Code 3513.20), which says that if a voter who changes parties is challenged by poll workers as to the sincerity of his change of heart and also signs an affidavit stating that he supports the principles of the party to which he's changing -- when in fact he doesn't support them -- then he would be committing election falsification. Election falsification is a felony that is punishable by six to twelve months in jail and a $2,500 fine.

It's clear that cross-over voting occurred in large numbers in Ohio this year. The Ohio secretary of state's office doesn't have statistics yet on how many voters crossed parties in the primary (it's still compiling them), but the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that in Cuyahoga County alone, the state's largest county, at least 16,000 Republicans switched parties for the primary.
ALSO........I'm not looking for recommendations!

Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 06:06 PM by Mike03
the right wing talk show hosts encourage their listeners to cross lines, but this is something we have NO control over. And the reason they listen to him and talk show host like him is because they are mindless dumb shits who will do whatever they are told to do.

We can't do anything about them. Please, let's move on, for chrissakes.

Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 06:02 PM by Canuckistanian
It used to be that the only fat people were the ones who could afford to buy enough food to make them fat.

Now, the reverse is true. Fat, sugar and alcohol are now the easily affordable commodities. It takes a good income to be able to afford good food.

Still, Rush IS a fat millionaire with not a financial care in the world - other than the prospect of losing a few percentage points of his wealth.

23. What does that mean?
Is he not getting the same tax cuts? How many lunch pails has filled? Not that you or I would know someone elses tax situation.

But you have to be careful focusing on a group of people. You might include some by mistake.

22. The implications
go both ways. Why do so many wealthy liberals (Soros, Buffett, dozens of Hollywood celebrities, Oprah, etc) go out and campaign for democrat politicians when these politicians run on tax hikes for the rich? Possibly because the rich don't really need the money as much as middle class, but the point is people are not motivated solely by economic self interest.

And people sadly do buy into the stereotypes that republicans will 'cut MY taxes'. Being in rural Indiana I see it alot. I try to explain how it is false (the GOP cuts middle class taxes by about $40/month while the dems want to cut middle class taxes and expenses by over $200/month) but the misinformation is everywhere on what the GOP really stands for on taxes.

Plus I'm sure many of those lunchbox carriers imagine they too will be millionaries someday and they shouldn't push for higher taxes for when they think they'll make it.

The proper term is Democratic politicians. The term you typed is used as a perjorative by republicans like Limbaugh.

Stupid working class wingnuts think that if the conservative agenda were put in place they would become millionaires too. Did they get a big tax cut? No they got a couple of hundred dollars like the rest of us.
