Economic stimulus checks

I don't know how many DUers are getting economic stimulus checks. But I would like to suggest that those of us who can afford to donate those checks.

Donate them to DEMOCRATIC candidates. Give them to Obama, Clinton, your local Congressman, or your local county board candidate. I would like to see as many DUers as possible do this, and we could keep a list of whom we donated to, as a bonus.

I think I will drop * a note if I do this, and write a letter to our local paper, too. I would let him know where my stimulus check went.

Throwing money at these candidates, like it was growing on trees. Apologies to the Fed, who wishes they could make that so.

Perhaps, and here's a novel idea.....SAVE THE MONEY FOR A FUTURE EMERGENCY.

But don't worry....I hear China is willing to buy our country in the next few years, so your biggest worry might only be learning a new language.

Many people here will need it for bills, groceries, heating oil, gasoline.

4. A portion of mine will probably be dontated to the Wheatland Earth Institute

one of their missions is getting a locally grown organic vegetarian diet into the elementary school in our village.

The rest will most likely go towards replenishing our seed stock for next year.
