Can someone tell me why the President decided to land at Rush Hour?

I just got home from West Palm Beach because the President decided to land at PBIA at 4:30pm. I work 1 mile from the airport, so our road was shut down and so was any of the other roads leading to and from the airport. Why?? Because he had to go to a fundraiser in Palm Beach tonight! Oy Vey!

24. BILL CLINTON pulled that shit with me! TWICE!

It was back during my "pizza guy" days.

The first time his Secret Service ordered 60 bucks worth of food during one of his speeches. I had to deliver it to the metal detectors, during rush hour, and with NO illegal parking (the snipers guaranteed that). The good news was, they tipped well and let me in without a ticket or pass.

The second time was a year or two later. Some asshole on his staff ordered pizza and wings (pepperoni pizza; bland, bleh! and hot wings, okay, although a true connoisseur would order medium) to be delivered to a fundraiser at a hotel room on the Las Vegas Strip at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. The whole thing was shut down for the motorcades, and were it not for my pathologically bizarre knowledge of alleyways and construction sites it would have been literally impossible to make the delivery.

You know what? I made half the money then (I'll never forget the shame of stealing diapers) and didn't have health insurance, but it seems like life was so much less complex then. Maybe it's the ever-encroaching middle-age.
