O'Reilly Claims he Broke The Obama Pastor Story

O'Reilly said this:

O'REILLY: "Likewise, the nightly network news programs have downplayed the situation. On Friday, ABC News ignored it and NBC News gave it 20 seconds."

Had his "O'Reilly Factor" not broken the story last Thursday night, he said, "it would have likely died which is exactly what the leftist media wants.

---------

The NY Times reported it on April 30, 2007.

On thursday 3-13-08, on Good Morning America, ABC's Brian Ross reported on the 2001 sermon by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, former pastor of Sen. Barack Obama's church, in which Wright made controversial remarks regarding the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

That was about 11 hours before O'Reilly reported the story. So O'Reilly is lying about breaking the story, and taking the credit for breaking the story away from Brian Ross who actually did break the story. Then on top of all that he claims ABC ignored the story, and that NBC barely reported it.

When ABC had already reported the story on thursday morning, and actually broke the story, well before O'Reilly reported it. And NBC has pretty much covered the story 24/7 since last thursday on it's cable news network MSNBC.

O'Reilly also claims the liberal media wants to ignore the story, when they are the ones who broke the story. If they wanted to ignore it, why would they break the story?

If they wanted to ignore it they would have never reported it, they would have stayed silent and let FOX News, or some other right-wing media source report it, which is what they did not do.

They did their job, they broke the story, and reported it. Then dishonest liars like O'Reilly take credit for it, and do not give credit to the people who really broke the story.

3. O'Really O'Reilly?
Was it the "back of the book segment" or "unresolved problems segment"? Or perhaps "talking points"?

4. On Stephanie Miller's show they were saying that Hannity was claiming the same BS.

The only singular story that O'Reilly has ever broken is that a falafel can be a sexual aide you can use in the shower.

We all know how profoundly that impacted and elevated the national discourse.

Yikes.

7. You Are Right Stellanoir

The night before the Obama speech in Pennsylvania Hannity said this to Karl Rove on Hannity & Colmes.

HANNITY: We broke this story. I know everyone's taking credit for it now. Won't this put him in the category of being seen by the American people as your average politician, spinning like a top, and that this is done to save and salvage his campaign, and it's being done for political expediency.

--------

I wonder if Billy knows that Hannity also claims he broke the story.

9. Yeah I refuse to pay for cable.
But I trust what I hear from Steph and the Mooks.

It's much better for me to get the info through the its rightful context. That would be theatre of the absurd.

They also said Hannity was crowing about having broken the Swift boat baloney.

He is so impressed with his sleazy smearing techniques.

Ughhh

5. Uh-oh. Sean Hannity is claiming the same thing.

I listened to the first few minutes of the Hannity radio show and he went on and on about how HE broke the story months ago and that he was annoyed at the arrogance of the other radio personalities that are now taking credit for it. Clash of the idiot egos...who will win?

Hannity talking about the arrogance of others had me laughing hysterically.
