16. That pic must have been taken awhile ago..

immediately after his surgery for the melanoma (or some type of skin cancer, anyway). There's lots of swelling. In recent pictures the scar is hardly noticeable.

What I read (here on DU IIRC) was that they removed some lymph nodes to determine if the cancer had spread, and apparently it hadn't. I'm glad to hear he is ok in that respect.
