Hey look what I got for my birthday!!!!!
The fifth anniversary of the stupidest military conflict my
country has ever been involved in.

Gee, thanks, Mr. Cheneybush! Does it come with any 2002 dated
Halliburton stock options?

3. Hey, thanks!
The stuff I got from my wife and daughters was enough for a
smile and a temporary distraction, anyway. A card, a CD, and
a sweater--my needs are simple LOL!!

NC--happy birthday and my sympathies both for tomorrow!

9. I couldn't (and don't) ask for anything more.
There are enough souls out there who would give their eye teeth
to have what I have, and I'm compos mentis enough to realize it!

4. My bday is March 16 and my hubby's is March 17.
I just told him today that this war started a few days after we turned 40 and we just turned 45. God that is a long time for our troops to keep doing this crap. I can not imagine how they feel.

5. I think you have to have been there to be able to know
And as another thread has shown, even some who have been there have
been thoroughly indoctrinated into thinking they are there for a noble
purpose.

On another note, March 16, 17, 19, 20? This is turning into one very "fishy" thread!

6. My hubby and I are actually only 7 hours apart.
I always tell him that our Mom's were screaming in pain at the same time. Fishy....I just got that one!! I think I am a bit tired because that did not sink in for a few moments! Is it Friday yet??? LOL!

7. Friday won't do me any good
I have to run down to France for a couple of hours (Friday is a holiday here),
and won't be home until 7 PM or so. I was hoping for the day off.

Do I hear "Saturday?"

10. Mr 'pede's b-day
was March 16. I say "was" because he has refused for the last several years to acknowledge the fact that he still has birthdays.
