Zogby has McCain leading both Democrats in the general election
The poll showed Arizona Sen. McCain, who has clinched the Republican presidential nomination, is benefiting from the lengthy campaign battle between Obama and Clinton, who are now battling to win Pennsylvania on April 22.

McCain leads 46 percent to 40 percent in a hypothetical matchup against Obama in the November presidential election, according to the poll.

That is a sharp turnaround from the Reuters/Zogby poll from last month, which showed in a head-to-head matchup that Obama would beat McCain 47 percent to 40 percent.

"The last couple of weeks have taken a toll on Obama and in a general election match-up, on both Democrats," said pollster John Zogby.

Matched up against Clinton, McCain leads 48 percent to 40 percent, narrower than his 50 to 38 percent advantage over her in February.

"It's not surprising to me that McCain's on top because there is disarray and confusion on the Democratic side," Zogby said

How can it even be close?? I don't believe Zogby's take about the Dems being in disarray, somethings not right. We should be well ahead of that old fool.

1. Zogby polls are crap
In fact, most polls are crap. Do they even poll real people? Or do they just fake their data?

I have never been polled.

2. McCain must love Penn and the Clintons
The scorched earth "if I can't win, no Democrat can" campaign may work. The only point of her continued effort is to try to drive up Obama's negatives so as to make him unelectable.

3. note that word
HYPOTHETICAL

Gramps is a loser and everyone knows it. There are 3-4X the # of registered Democrats as there are Republicans and yes, they are voting alright - voting primarily for OBAMA.

4. leading on the first lap means nothing....
it is a LONG way to November....

plus, the reepers don't know which one of us they are actually going to face, and in the meantime, we have mcclueless running around saying stupid shit...

his brief 'at least the reepers have their candidate in place' 'advantage' will disappear surely, if not slowly, the more he talks...

being jr.,jr. has its own rewards....

5. We had a bunch of contenders who could have cakewalked into the White House. We got rid of them.
Now, we're left with the ONLY two potential nominees who could possibly LOSE.

Don't tell me this shit ain't rigged.

8. Not a problem. McCain is a weak and deeply flawed candidate.
A well run campaign (not Gore's or Kerry's) will expose him what he is.

Putting aside for a moment that it's four weeks until the next primary, six months until the Dem convention and eight months until Novembver, how seriously can this poll taken be when one party has one candidate and the other has two?
