Political candidate changes name to 'Pro-Life'
Source: PageOneQ

As disgraced U.S. Senator Larry Craig heads towards retirement, a man seeking his seat has taken an unusual step in his strategy:

He has changed his legal name to a political stance.

A 66-year-old Idaho strawberry farmer, formerly known after a previous name change as Marvin Pro-Life Richardson, is now, simply, "Pro-Life."

Of course this is a state where 28% believe Larry Craig.

10. He should read up on "Byron (Low Tax) Looper." Sounds like the same breed of Republican nut.
Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 12:11 PM by onehandle
Byron (Low Tax) Looper (born Byron Anthony Looper on September 15, 1964 in Putnam County, Tennessee), is a former politician (Republican), who is currently an inmate in the Tennessee state penal system. In order to advance his political career, he legally changed his middle name from Anthony to "(Low Tax)". He was convicted for the October 1998 murder of Tennessee State Senator Tommy Burks (Democrat) while running for his seat.

16. TN Democrats shoulda made him the poster boy for Republicans
I live here in TN and remember him all to well.

Before he killed Tommy Burks he was on a radio show and they asked him what he was gonna do if Burks changed his middle name to "Lower Tax". The DJ's then hounded him for the panicked look on his face.

20. Back in the mid 80's in Volusia County (Daytona Beach) Fl a
local business man named John __something__ ran a business called Big John's Tire. He did so much local advertising he changed his name to Big John and easily won a seat on the county board by name recognition alone. He was very proud of the fact that he spent less than a tenth of the money his apponents did.....not counting the advertising for his tire store.

25. New Rule - Anyone running for public office ...
must first commit themselves for psychiatric evaluation for 30 days. I want them examined by every psychiatrist in the hospital, monitored in every possible situation and given every test that exists. Seriously. People who are bat-shit crazy should not be allowed to run for public office.

You know what's even worse? Some people are actually going to vote for this guy! :grr: :eyes:
