This was discussed earlier on threads last fall when Disney decided to pull the plug on releasing "Path to 9/11" on DVD, but the topic came up again at Disney's shareholder meetings when it appears some wingnuts wanted to use this time as the time to release this DVD. There's been discussion that Clinton's campaign has been working over Disney to prevent them from releasing it.
I'm not a supporter of Clinton, but I still think that this DVD should never be released, as it sounds like such a manufactured piece of crap of lies, that will only serve to distract and further the divisions already present now within our party. If we do need to argue stuff out over what the candidates stand for, let's make sure that we focus on accurate and more informative material to use as our means of judgement. Not this pile of crap that Roveco and other swift boaters appear to want to use.
I bet that this freeper wingnut Borelli, though claiming to want to have "freedom" to have this DVD released, would have supported the Discovery Channel's blocking of "Taxi to the Dark Side" from showing there, and also ultimately on DVD, Oscar be damned.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Top brass at Disney were called on Thursday to defend their decision not to release the controversial miniseries "The Path to 9/11" on DVD and to justify CEO Robert Iger's $27.7 million pay package.
"Path," a 2006 ABC miniseries critical of President Bill Clinton's handling of terrorist threats, was so controversial that leading Democrats asked Disney not to air the program. Disney, after making some hasty edits, ran it commercial-free.
At Disney's annual shareholders' meeting in Albuquerque, N.M., one mutual fund portfolio manager said it was high time Disney turned "Path" into a DVD and recouped some of the $40 million it spent on the project.
The fund manager, Tom Borelli, accused Iger of protecting Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign at the expense of shareholders, and pointed out that Iger has been a steady Clinton donor since before the former first lady was elected to the Senate.
He claimed to have a letter from a representative at indie studio Lionsgate proving that Disney has no intention of even selling the DVD rights to another company.
