Iraq Invasion/Occupation
--

Anyone who was following along pre-invasion, who wasn't mouth breathing in anticipation of "getting off" watching bombing on their TV, who understood that the peoples of the region are not all a "bunch of towelheads", anyone who knew the difference between Sunni and Shia understood this was a huge mistake prior to going in.

1. Unfortunately, at the time, I didn't know.
I do now, however.

5. It was the son of the father who lied about Kwait's reason
for war against Iraq. Kwait built tunnels to steal their oil. When Suddam complained our ambassador said, OK go protect yourselves this is none of our business. When they did...they were punished and we had a reason to go to war. It was the first shock & awe...Desert Storm. People in America sat in front of TVs and watched lights go all over the skies.

Remember old "lying lips" President GW Bush? They did the Savings & Loan Scandal also. The apple did not fall far from the tree when you think of what is going on today with his sons. They are a criminal gang full of Ponzi schemes etc. to rob us of our democracy and wealth.

GH Bush wants to unite all of the Americas for his own trade and government union before he dies(stated this at the 10th NAFTA anniversary dinner on CSPAN). His son will accomplish it at all cost to us. President Bush, the media, and Congress lie about it.

How can I believe this is not a "conspiracy theory" when in the past they have stolen power and hid their crimes against humanity?

2. Then that makes me one of the good guys
I keep trying to remind my friends that the Iraqi's have families too. They had homes and cars and businesses and on and on just like we do here in the not so good ole usa. bUsh gets most of the blame but the dick's handprints are all over this one from the dismantling of our constitution to the march to war. Without him we would not be in the mess we are today. Yes at the feet of one little despot is where the fault to this can all be layed. bUsh is an enabler

6. The hate extended to France too since they wouldn't
join Bush in yet another ME aggression. They'd learned from their past Empire aggressions which cost them dearly.

People in this country refused to eat French fries for god sake. Even today I bet some people hold onto that hate.

I have a sister who did. I reminded her that France is the reason we have America in the first place. Fighting and financing our revolution was done at the cost of their prosperity. The sent experienced generals to train our troops. They sent battleships, etc. Yes they did it because they were always at war with the British...but they did it anyway for us.

France lost a lot of their men in the wars. They are a small country the size of Texas.

In hind sight you must admit they were right to say out of it. We were wrong.

3. Just think of the waste of humans and
the contributions they could have made to this world? They are a very intelligent people. Instead all they can do is try to survive and keep alive. Their ancestors were the inventors of many things we use today. It was the area of great trade and knowledge.

For many years the Empire Builders have made sure this area of the world was in constant chaos and war. What happened to these Neo Cons that they thought everything and everyone belonged to them? They could divide up the world like it is a "pallor game"? Is power a mental disease clouding their judgement and morals?

In the past they survived other invaders but none so dangerous and destructive. Depleted Uranium and pollution will remain in the area for many years to come. Pretty soon we will have no place on earth to live which has survived their destruction.

Their neighbors, the Israelis, are no better off...in fact worse off with such pollution and disaster. Everyday they live in fear too since their leaders don't seem to care about their own. American Zionists who don't go to war or live under such danger seem all to ready to destroy everything and everyone in the region for a "holy goal" of Empire. These too are intelligent people who in the past can accomplish much in our world. Where did their common sense and humanity go? Surely this isn't in their holy book and leader's plan for humanity?

Instead of being "couch potatoes" like Shock & Awe was a video game, they'd better realize what we do to others may come back and haunt us. We and our families are no better off...fact is worse off from "unending war" and hate.

What a waste...

4. I still don' think people are getting it
A poll came out on CNN yesterday and this was the poll.
(CNN) — More than 7 out of 10 Americans think government spending on the war in Iraq is partly responsible for the economic troubles in the United States, according to results of a recent poll.

In the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll conducted last weekend, 71 percent said they think U.S. spending in Iraq is a reason for the nation's poor economy. Twenty-eight percent said they didn't think so.

The weekend poll, timed to coincide with the Iraq war's fifth anniversary, also showed little U.S. support for the conflict. Fewer than one in three respondents — 32 percent — said they support the war, while 66 percent said they oppose it.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/03/19/poll-71-percent-think-iraq-spending-hurts-economy/

When I read this I thought to myself they still don't get it. When we started this war my eyes were filled up with tears. Yes I knew even back than no WMD no nukes. I sat and watched as I new our country was going to be torn to pieces in lives and money. The poll never ask about the innocent lives that were lost in Iraq. The poll points out one thing and one thing when the American people pocket books are hurting they wake the hell up. As the American people wait for there rebate checks to keep wall street a live so that they can rush off to the stores to buy there next new gadget. The war in Iraq will be silent to them as for some of us who new the devastation that would come from this war will hope and pray that someone will stop this madness.

7. Depends on how they asked the question.
Yes..Iraq is the reason for our problems. Problems brought on by our leaders not them.
