Pardon me, I'm 55 and was a single dad to my younger son. Don't let anybody tell you that maternal insticts don't kick in with men under those circumstances. I had to be the guiding dad and the protective mom at the same time.

Anyway, feeling protective, I'd like to bust some of those people in the chops.

In my guiding mode, I say good for you. You know who you are; you know what you think; and it's going to take a lot more than that level of discourse to get you to change your mind.

That is so sad.

It's also a little sad that you felt the need to put up a web site and get actively involved to fight this administration.
And it's sad that they attacked you for it.
Just think of all the time they have wasted.
Just think of all the time we all could have better spent if Gore or Kerry had been elected.


And then we consider the lives of all of those 1000's and 1000's of men and women who were killed or maimed or wounded in this illegal and immoral Iraq War.

Not to forget the 100's and 100's of billions of dollars misspent to fight it, instead of rebuilding roads, bridges, schools, and hospitals.
Or simply rebuilding New Orleans.

And then the time that people like you spend trying to right what is wrong with America seems worthy and well-spent.
You'll probably never get the respect you deserve for taking so much grief, Ava.
Not from people like them, anyway.

But, from the 100's and 1000's and 10's of 1000's of servicemen and servicewomen who are serving overseas now, they will respect you for your efforts.
And they will never forget you.

It's people like you that will put this country back on track.
